VOLUNTEER GROUP LEADER/YOUTH ADVOCATE

Here at Future Voices Ireland, we're always looking for new volunteer group leaders and youth advocates. Our volunteers help us to facilitate workshops and sessions with young people aged 14-18. Leaders work in different teams, across a number of months, focusing on leading our young people in self-led advocacy projects. These include our annual TEDx conference, various advocacy projects that enable our young people to lead campaigns for change on issues affecting young people, and our "100 Days Community Challenges" in which our young people work towards implementing positive change in their local communities.

Our sessions take place every Saturday, January-September. You will volunteer on a rota basis every few weeks, meaning you would be expected to volunteer one or two Saturdays each month. We would ask that, if you choose to volunteer with us, you make a commitment for the full January-September period.

All of those selected will be required to undergo Garda vetting and will need to sign a criminal offence disclosure. All volunteers must participate in our compulsory training which covers your role as a volunteer, as well as child protection obligations.

If you are interested, please submit a CV and covering letter outlining your experience working with young people and your motivation for applying to info@futurevoices.ie. We particularly welcome applications from those who have volunteering with other organisations working with marginalised communities or who may have a background in teaching, social work, youth work or counselling. However, those who don't have backgrounds in these areas but have a strong passion for working with young people are also welcome to apply!
